Mini Hawks (U4 – U6) 2024


Who is it for?

Mini Hawks is designed for both boys and girls turning 4, 5 or 6 in calendar year 2024 who are maybe new to soccer or maybe not yet confident enough to play regular structured games against other teams.


What is the Format?

Mini Hawks is a non-competitive and gentle introduction to soccer where the fundamental skills of football are developed. Organised in small groups, children progress through a number of exercises developing their skills and confidence via a range of fun and engaging game-based activities


Dates & Venues

For the 2024 season, Mini Hawks will commence on Saturday 27th April 2024 (the weekend after Anzac Day) and run for 14 weeks (weather permitting) breaking only for the Saturday in the middle weekend of the July school holidays. The program is run at Casuarina Oval, Alfords Point on Saturdays from 11:00am for approximately 45 minutes. The program will conclude on Saturday 3rd August 2024 followed by a gala presentation day.


How do I Register?

For Mini Hawks registrations please click here and follow the instructions. If you are using an ‘Active Kids Voucher’ (see next question) to reduce the cost of your registration then please obtain this first as you will be required to enter the voucher number during registration to receive your discount.


What is the registration fee and what does it include?

The 2024 registration fee for Mini Hawks is $110 per child. For this, your child will receive a shirt, shorts and socks to be worn each week. At the end of the season each child will receive a ball as well as a trophy at our gala presentation day as a memento of the season. Note that school-enrolled children may be eligible for the NSW Government’s $50 Active Kids Rebate Voucher Scheme. See our ‘Active Kids Voucher Scheme’ section for more details. The voucher details can be entered during online registration to receive your discount.


How do I get a uniform?

Our Mini Hawks registration fee includes a shirt, shorts and socks. Once your child is registered, the uniform will be available for collection from the uniform shop at Buckle Reserve at a date/time to be confirmed


Anything else I need to know?

Please note that a parent or guardian will be required to remain at the field each week for the duration of each session. Note also that this is a very popular program with spaces limited to 90 children on a first come, first serve basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment.


How can I get involved?

Mini Hawks and indeed Menai Hawks is run entirely by volunteers. We would like to embrace parent participation and as such will be looking for parent helpers to assist on a regular basis.
