Mini Hawks (U4 – U6)

Who is it for?

Mini Hawks is designed for both boys and girls turning 4, 5 or 6 who are maybe new to soccer or maybe not yet confident enough to play regular structured games against other teams.

What is the Format?

Mini Hawks is a non-competitive and gentle introduction to soccer where the fundamental skills of football are developed. Organised in small groups, children progress through a number of exercises developing their skills and confidence via a range of fun and engaging game-based activities

Dates & Venues

Mini Hawks runs from Saturday 2nd May 2020 for 13 weeks (weather permitting) breaking for 1 weekend in the middle week of the July school holidays. The program is run at Casuarina Oval, Alfords Point on Saturdays from 10:15am for approximately 45 minutes. The program will conclude on Saturday 1st August 2020 with a gala presentation day.

How do I Register?

For Mini Hawks registrations click here and follow the instructions. Note that you will need to select ‘Aldi MiniRoos Club Football Age 5-11’ at the ‘Find your team’ stage. Make sure that you enter ‘Menai Hawks Football Club’ in the Club search box and select “Mini Hawks’ as the Registration Product. You can also pay the registration fee via credit card at this site.

What is the registration fee and what does it include?

The 2020 registration fee for Mini Hawks has been held at 2019 levels and is $100 per child. For this, your child will receive a shirt, shorts and socks to be worn each week. At the end of the season each child will receive a ball as well as a trophy at our gala presentation day as a memento of the season. Note that school-enrolled children may be eligible for the NSW Government’s $100 Active Kids Rebate Voucher Scheme. See our ‘Active Kids Voucher Scheme’ section for more details. The voucher details can be entered during online registration to receive your discount.

How do I get a uniform?

Your registration fee includes a shirt, shorts and socks. These will be available for collection from the uniform shop at Buckle Reserve during April. We will notify you of specific dates nearer the time

Anything else I need to know?

Please note that a parent or guardian will be required to remain at the field each week for the duration of each session. Note also that this is a very popular program with spaces limited to 80 children on a first come, first serve basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

How can I get involved?

Menai Hawks and indeed Mini Hawks is run entirely by volunteers. We would like to embrace parent participation and as such will be looking for parent helpers to assist on a regular basis.
