Club Code of Conduct

  • PLAYER - Menai Hawk’s uniform of Shorts, Socks and Jersey are to be worn when competing in the Sutherland Shire Association Competition. The Jersey is not to be worn outside these times as a normal shirt. The Jersey is not to be worn to training.
  • ON FIELD CONDUUCT - Sportsmanlike at all time, Spitting, Swearing and Abusive remarks will not be tolerated.
  • ATTENNDANCE - All players are to be at the grounds at a time as stated by their Coach. All players are required to attend all training sessions and games. If unable to attend training or game, please notify your Coach. If unsure whether training or games are on due to weather, always ring your Coach.
  • TRAINING - Players are to be punctual in their arrival at all training sessions. The Coach is to be notified as soon as possible if a player is not able to attend a training session. Players are to wear boots and shin pads with suitable training attire. Always take a water bottle to all training sessions.
  • CLUB REPUTATION - The good name and sporting nature of our Club must be upheld and respected at all times.
  • CARE OF GROUNDS / FACILITIES - Place all rubbish in appropriate bins and leave grounds in clean condition. Players change rooms are also to be kept clean.
  • OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE - Players swearing or making abusive remarks towards other players, coaching staff, officials or spectators will be dealt with severely.
  • COMPLAINTS - All complaints by players, parents or supporters are to be in writing and addressed to the Director of Coaching. Nobody is to directly approach a coach, manager or player regarding complaints.
  • CANTEEN DUTIES - All parents must assist with canteen, BBQ duties and ground set-up or packing away as per team roster.
  • FUND RAISING - Parents and players are expected to support fund raising activities, raffles, functions.
  • MEMBERSHIP AND FEES - All fees must be fully paid by the beginning of the season.
  • PARENT CONDUCT -Positive support towards the club and players must be shown at all times. Abusive or derogatory remarks towards players, coaching staff, officials, other parents or visiting teams and their supporters will not be tolerated. Parents are not to interfere with training. Coaching from the sidelines during games will not be tolerated and may result in your child being removed from that team.
  • GENERAL - Parents are requested at all times to be supportive of their team/s officials, abiding by their requests and decisions. Parents are obligated to collect their children at the designated time from training. No child is to be left alone at any game unless prior arrangements have been made and the Coach / Manager has been informed.
  • MEDICAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Any player with medical problems, such as Asthma, needs to inform their team’s Coach and Manager of the situation. The parent / player will be responsible for bringing any required medication to training and the game. The parent / player must advise the coach of any injury (or illness). Should the injury impact on the players playing ability, a note of clearance from a doctor will be required before the player can recommence activities with the team.
  • HEALTH - Players are to ensure that they have appropriate liquids / water before, during and after training and games. It is advisable that all players ensure that they have eaten properly before they attend training or the game.
  • SENIOR TEAM GAMES - We would like all players and parents to attend home games and show their support. Players are expected to show proper conduct at games as you are representing your Club.
